Text Outline Generator

Turn any words into bold outlined lettering. Choose a font, fill, one or two outlines and an optional hard shadow, then download a transparent PNG or SVG. Everything happens in your browser.

Preview backdrop (not exported)

PNG and WebP keep a transparent background. JPG has no transparency, so it uses the background color below (or white). The SVG refers to the font by name, so it looks right only where that font is installed; the PNG is always exact.

How to make outlined text

  1. Type your text and choose a font. Bold display fonts such as Anton or Bangers make the cleanest outlines.
  2. Pick a fill and an outline. Use a solid or gradient fill, or switch to Hollow for letters that are only an outline.
  3. Add extras. A second outline makes a sticker-style border; a hard offset shadow adds depth.
  4. Download a transparent PNG or WebP, an SVG, or copy the CSS to use the effect on a web page.

Good to know

  • The image is drawn in your browser. Nothing you type is uploaded.
  • PNG and WebP exports have a transparent background unless you choose a background color. The size follows your font size and spacing, so a bigger font size gives a bigger picture.
  • The SVG refers to the font by name and does not embed it, so it displays correctly only where that font is installed. Use the PNG when you need the exact look everywhere.
  • Bundled fonts (Anton, Bebas Neue, Lobster and others) look identical on every device. Arial, Georgia and the other system fonts depend on your device.

Frequently asked questions

How do I make hollow text with only an outline?

Set Fill to Hollow, then raise the outline width. The outline is drawn on the letter edges.

How do I make a sticker effect?

Use a bold font, a solid fill, a dark outline, and a second outline in white. Pick the Sticker preset to start from.

Can I use the result on a website?

Yes. Use the transparent PNG or SVG as an image, or copy the CSS if a single outline is enough.

Is it free?

Yes. There is no account and no watermark.
